It has been our privilege to pastor Bethel since October 1983.  My wife Jan and I came to Duncan because we felt impressed that this is where God wanted us to spend the most productive years of our lives.  Sure enough, in the past 25 years we have enjoyed the most exciting time leading this church into the 21st century.  Our mission is simple and clear:  Make a difference in the world.  With God’s help, we are doing just that both at home and abroad.  We have two grown children, Scott and Heather.   I enjoy the outdoors and flying airplanes, and Jan loves to go shopping whether she buys something or not.

 

 

Pastor Phil & Tricia Owens Senior Associate Pastor   Pastor Phil loves Jesus and it is in that love that he has been called to speak to this generation and lead them to worship the Lord with passion. Pastor Phil could be defined in part as being real, relevant and very responsive to the needs of people. After 14 years of ministry in Arizona, God has brought him and Tricia to Bethel church. Pastor Phil has been married to his wife, Tricia, for 13 years and they have 6 children, Philip Jr, Marcus, Justyn, Alyssa, Jaiden, & Adyson.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I never would have believed I would be a children’s pastor when I took my first position as a youth pastor in 1988 in Bartlesville, OK. After 13 years in youth ministry, God changed my direction to children’s ministry, and now I can’t imagine doing anything else. My wife, Lisa, and I grew up around Tulsa, OK, but between 1992 and 2004 God’s path took us from Joplin, MO, to Charleston, SC, to Jerseyville, IL.  In 2004, God brought us back home to Oklahoma to work at Bethel with this great group of people and their kids. We have a daughter in college, Kaila, and a son in high school, Darian. I’m a sports fanatic, and my wife is definitely my better half.  Most importantly - we love kids!
